Applying for a mid-entry place during the school year
If you are applying for a place in Reception, Year 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 during the school year (not at the beginning of Reception) please make an application directly to the local authority following this link. We often have a waiting list in every year group which is managed and held by the admission team at Cambridgeshire County Council. Nursery Admissions are managed by the school. For more information please contact the school office. The school’s catchment is shown below. Please consult our admissions’ criteria.
Requesting deferred entry
Parents may seek a place for their child outside of their normal age group, for example, if the child is gifted and talented or has experienced problems such as ill health. In addition, the parents of a summer born child may choose not to send that child to school until the September following their fifth birthday and may request that they are admitted out of their normal age group – to reception rather than year 1. If parents wish to make an application for deferred entry or admission into a year group that is not their chronological normal year of entry, they can follow the instructions on the Cambridgeshire County Council Website or through the following link: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/summer-born-children-school-admission/making-a-request-for-admission-out-of-the-normal-age-group
