We can’t believe we’re in the last half term of Year 6!
This week in Maths, we had a great time finishing designing our own theme parks. This included applying a lot of maths knowledge from throughout the year, as well as working with large sums of imaginary money. The theme parks are very impressive and have made huge profits!
In English, we have been planning our AI essays based on the essay title: The risks posed by Artificial Intelligence outweigh the potential benefits. Discuss. It has been so interesting to investigate the use of artificial intelligence and its advantages and disadvantages in today’s society, and we look forward to writing the essays after the Wales trip.
We have been focusing a lot on writing this week, particularly on using a range of punctuation. If you would like to continue practising applying this, write a narrative based on this picture…
Next Week
Next week is the Wales residential trip, which we are very excited about! A reminder to make sure you’re at school at 7.20am for registration before leaving for the trip.
Year 6 have now started Art sessions with Mrs Smith. As part of this unit, children will be customising their own shirts, which will culminate in a fashion show at the end of the term.To prepare for this, please can children bring in a shirt after half term that they would like to customise.
A reminder that we have forest school this half term, so please ensure you have the correct kit in school.
