A very warm welcome back to all children, parents and carers of Polaris class. We have spent the week getting to know one another again. This involved an introduction as to why the Pole Star of our namesake is so important and how it’s stability and order is similar to our new school mantra of kindness, safety and focus. Together we built planispheres, which (on a clear night) should be able to reveal what the night sky is looking like.
As well as this, we have been writing back to Mr Drane who wrote every child a welcome letter. Of course, we also took part in teambuilding and sporting challenges – and we finally got to go on the new climbing frame!
Please ensure children have their P.E kit and water bottle in each day (and a hat on Monday, it looks sunny!).
We are studying ‘The Silver Donkey’ over the next half term – we will be using it within our guided reading sessions and English sessions, so if you would like to buy a copy for your child to follow along with, please follow the link.
