It has been wonderful to welcome the children back this week and see so much enthusiasm for learning.  We have revisited the Golden Agreements and practiced our talk agreements and working collaboratively.  We have played lots of sport and enjoyed the fantastic weather.

Next week we are looking forward to starting our World War 1 topic.  As previously mentioned we will be using The Silver Donkey by Sonya Hartnett https://www.amazon.co.uk/Silver-Donkey-Sonya-Hartnett/dp/1406304298 as the basis for our Guided Reading sessions for the next few weeks.  If you are able to purchase a copy and let the children bring it into school that would be helpful.

In Maths we will be reviewing our understanding of place value to 1,000 and introducing 10,000’s.  And in English we will be beginning to learn about symbolism and allegory. Have a go at this at home if you would like: Four digit target challenge

Please can all children bring a water bottle and a snack to school with them each day.

They should also have their PE kits in school now.  PE takes place on Wednesday and Friday for Olympus and Tuesday and Thursday for

Fuji, but it would be helpful if kits could remain in school all week.

Wishing you a restful weekend.
