What an incredible week we have had in Year 5!
In English, we continued looking at Myths, creating our own villains and ultimately planning our own stories that will follow those of the ancient Nordic myths. The children have been amazing, planning incredible villain backstories and mind bending plot twists.
In Maths, we continued looking at numbers higher than 100,000. We reviewed number lines and went deeper into how to create and decipher them. We also reviewed comparisons and rules to compare numbers higher than 100,000.
In Project, we continued exploring the Anglo-Saxon era, looking at the Heptarchy and the various Anglo-Saxon settlements.
In Guided Reading, we finished reading the story of Beowulf and Grendel, which the children have really enjoyed. Next week, we will start Beowulf and the Sea Hag.

In PRE, we continued exploring Hinduism and looked at various artefacts and their use.
