A huge question to grapple with, but the children are developing arguments about the benefits and drawbacks of space exploration which they will produce as a written response during next week.
In maths we have been adding 5 digit numbers with confidence and exploring palinodromic numbers and in Science we have been understanding day and night how daylength changes with the seasons.
“Our mathematical brains have been playing with palindromic numbers. We have created a hypothesis otherwise known as a theory, which we have then tested. Olympus were specifically engaged in the two-digit 98 and 89 combination, an addition which takes multiple steps to find a palindromic number. In other equations we went into the billions!”
We have been blown away by some super high quality presentations this week – the children are really taken with our topic. Watch out NASA.
