Thank you all for a fantastic half term! The children have worked so hard and should be very proud of themselves. We hope you have a restful break and look forward to seeing you on Monday 1st November 2021!
This week we finished off our stories in English, creating wonderful mini books. These stories followed a character the children created, from their back story in an English city to being evacuated to the countryside where they had to take on employment. From this the characters discovered that their host families weren’t all they seemed…
In maths, we continued working with negative numbers; learning when they’re used in contexts such as with temperatures and bank accounts:
Mathletics
Year 5 children have been given their Mathletics logins to take home. Tasks have been assigned for year 5 linked to the maths learning we covered in this half term. This resource is to support learning and can be used at your discretion.
