This week, Fuji, Olympus and Sagarmatha have been authors of some fantastic biographies of a hidden hero: Alfred Russel Wallace. There has been a lot of progress already this term through the process of drafting and revising.

In Maths we have been learning to divide by 10, 100 and 1000 and the children have made links to their previous knowledge. If you would like to practice further, please find the sheets below.

In outdoor PE, Year 5 have been learning how to play hockey: passing, tackling and the rules of the game. They have also been improving their co-ordination and fitness in these lessons.

Finally, one of the most fascinating things this week was getting to handle and explore fossils from the Sedgewick museum. It was amazing to experience real life artefacts and study them closely. The children had a go at completing field skecthes of their fossils, just like Darwin!

Next week:

Sagamartha: Monday: Outdoor PE

Thursday: Swimming

Fuji:                  Monday: Indoor PE

Thursday: Outdoor PE

Olympus:       Tuesday: Outdoor PE

Wednesday: Indoor PE
