Another amazing week in Year 5!

In English, we have written formal persuasive letters to stop people from using non-recyclable plastic and palm oil. The children have really enjoyed this and have learned a lot about how to spot unsustainable products.

In Maths, we have explore the relationship between decimals, fractions and percentages, digging deeper into how to use them to solve reasoning word problems.

W5 Maths

In STEM, we created sundials and thought about time zones by charting a flight path around the world.

In Project, we finalised our structures.

In Guided Reading, we continued Zoe’s adventure. She is finally back on her boat heading West.

  • Reminder that next week we will start Forest School. Could the children please bring in wellies, waterproof trousers and general warm clothes, as Forest School will go forward regardless of weather
