It was lovely to see so many parents and family members at the Windrush Exhibition and Family Friday. We are very proud of what the children have achieved this term and throughout Year 5.
As well as working towards the exhibition we have looked at some geometry in Maths including 3D shapes and their properties, and reflecting on a horizontal and vertical axis. We are reaching the conclusion of Sophia Duleep Singh and her struggle for women’s suffrage and in Science we have concluded our unit of work on microbes with an investigation linked to oral hygiene.
Sports Day on Thursday was a huge success. All the teams participated with great sportsmanship, showing our school values. Well done to everyone who took part and a big thank you to Ms Ellis and her team for organising.
As we reach the end of Year 5, we are reflecting on our memories and highlights of the past year. It is a good time to be grateful for all that we have done and experienced.
Next week:
Monday: Jump up afternoon. Children will meet their new teachers.
Wednesday: School will end at the earlier time of 13:30.
Please also ensure that you have all your belongings before leaving the Year 5 train.
Best wishes,
The Year 5 team.
