What a fantastic week we have had in Year 4! The children have been busy exploring lots of exciting learning across the curriculum.
In Maths, we have been focusing on time and developing our understanding of reading both analogue and digital clocks. We have practised converting between 12-hour and 24-hour times, building our confidence with this important life skill. We also looked at converting halves and quarters into decimals
In English, we have started revising our persuasive letters. We have been looking at ways to make our writing more effective by adding techniques such as rhetorical questions, flattery and anecdotes to help persuade our readers.
Our Design and Technology learning has focused on graphic design and branding. We explored how companies choose their logos, colours and overall identity. The children then created their own designs and branding ideas for the biscuit boxes they will be making as their final project.
In STEM, we headed into the school forest for a minibeast hunt! The children searched for different plants and invertebrates, recorded their findings using tally charts and then presented their results in bar charts.
Well done Year 4 — another brilliant week of learning!
