It’s been wonderful to welcome the children back from a well deserved rest over half term. With the last half of Summer 2 ahead of us, here’s what we have in in store:
We’ve begun to plan our persuasive letters this week, thinking carefully about our target audience and the reasons for trying to persuade them – whether that’s to convince their teacher to get pet fish or to fix potholes on their road.
In Maths, we have continued to learn about fractions, specifically mixed number fractions. If you would like to revise this with your children, please see the sheets: here
In STEM, we are starting a new unit on habitats and our project this half term is D&T – where we will be working towards building cookie boxes.
Messages:
- Please ensure children come to school with PE kits
- Next week will be the ‘First Maths Challenge’ For those of you who have paid for your children to do it. It will be administered in class, but those who are not participating will still be able to do an activity.
