We have had a busy but fantastic week this week, with our second lesson of Forest School, Swimming and of course, the highlight of our week, our school trip to the Cambridge Museum of Technology.

During our trip, we explored different inventions and took part in interactive, hands-on workshops about printing press, steam pumps, bricks and communication methods. Thank you to all the parents who accompanied us on the trip and we hope you enjoyed it too.

In Maths, we have been working hard on our times tables and we have enjoyed exploring patterns between them. In the past few weeks we have looked at 3,6,7,9, 11. Keep practising these at home to develop your confidence.

In English, we have been focusing on persuasive writing and have been set the exciting challenge of thinking of new and improved ways to help our school with recycling and food waste. Therefore, inspired by David Attenborough and Greta Thunberg’s speeches, we identified the features of persuasive writing and created a bank of emotive language that we will use in the coming weeks.

Next Week

Due to our amazing school trip, we will be continuing the Guided Reading text from last week (Ice-skating).

Important letters regarding your child’s contact details and information for the Residential Trip will be sent home with your child this week, so please keep an eye out.
