We had a visitor this week who taught us all about the power of positive thinking and growth mindset. Mike Mullen is a BMX world champion and the children had an exciting time hearing about the challenges he overcame – and seeing some BMX biking trips as well!
We finished writing our stories in English, planning them first using a story mountain and then spending a little time learning about what makes a good ending to a story. Our focus remained coordinating and subordinating conjunctions, with a sub-focus on character and setting description.
In maths we continued to apply our knowledge of addition and regrouping to decimal numbers, using games to help consolidate our learning.

Next week is our year 4 residential trip!
All relevant information has been emailed to you via WisePay and the children have had opportunities to ask questions in class.
Just remember to get to school for normal time on Monday and pickup at the end of the school day on Wednesday.
