We have had an exciting week of learning in Year 4, getting stuck in with our projects and exploring what it means to be an engineer and a designer! The creativity in the classroom never fails to amaze us!!!

In English we have been looking at characterisation. We have been using the ‘Barnabus Project’ to create out own characters and character descriptions. At the end of the week we focused on writing in role as a character. In Maths, we have been looking at written methods for short division. We started exploring these concepts practically and have been applying our new skills to solve number problems. In Science, we have continued to explore electricity, looking at the different components of a circuit and the impact they have. We have also made a lot of progress with our topics and have enjoyed exploring the new resources! In Computing, we looked at creating a moving art machine, focusing on electrical circuits and ‘remixing’ the designs. In DT, we began looking at the different ways to make a pully system, focusing on making strong structures.
