What a wonderful week of learning we have had this week, the children have loved getting to know our new topic more and we cannot wait to see what else they learn! We have been focusing on the value of respect this week –  it has been brilliant to see the children living out these values everywhere in school. On Thursday, we had a brilliant world book day and got to all share our favourite books.

In English, we have continued looking at poetry, focusing on structure and powerful language choices. In Maths, we have been looking at multiplying numbers by 10 and 100. In Science, we have been exploring the differences between solids, liquids and gases. We have continued to focus on our biomes topic, looking at the different biomes that are around the world – the knowledge map for our topic can be found here: Y4 Sp2 Biomes Knowledge Map.

We brought in our favourite books to share for world book day. It was brilliant to find out about so many different types of books – I loved hearing all of the recommendations!

In Art we used our blocks from last week to experiment with pattern making.

Maths and Spelling

Please find the maths learning from this week here: Maths Multiplying by 10 and 100 Week 2
