We have been overwhelmed with pride thinking about all of the wonderful learning that has taken place this term. As always, Year 4 have blown us away with the enthusiasm and dedication that they all bring to their learning.

In English, we have finished editing and publishing our non-fiction texts. We have also began rehearsing them, ready for us to show to Year 6. In Maths, we have stated a looking at division, we have done this through numerous problem solving equations and will continue this learning after Easter. In Guided Reading, we have been exploring authorial choices and disusing choices the characters have bene making. In Geography, we have been thinking about how we, in the UK, can help tackle deforestation. The children worked in pairs to create signs to advertise their ideas! In Art, we concluded our printing topic by creating pillows with our fabric.

Reading our non fiction texts to year 6.

Spelling

In Spelling we have been focusing on the /d/ sound. The /d/ sound can be written as <d> as in band, or <dd> as in middle, or ‘ed’ as in played. Some words to practice are: daddy, and, dressed, cleaned.

We all want to wish you a restful Easter break and thank you for your support this term.
