This week has been an enriching one, with a variety of activities to help our students grow academically and emotionally. In math, we’ve been exploring different informal methods for multiplication, focusing on strategies that make math more accessible and intuitive. This hands-on approach helps students build a deeper understanding of numbers and how they work together.

In English, we’ve continued to nurture their creativity as they develop their own short stories. Through this process, students have been learning how to structure narratives, create engaging characters, and express their ideas clearly, all while having fun with their writing.

In Religious Education, we’ve been reflecting on the life of Jesus and the importance of forgiveness. This theme has sparked some thoughtful discussions, helping the children understand the value of compassion and second chances in their own lives.

In PSHE, we’ve been exploring emotions, particularly how to handle feelings of worry. The students have been learning about emotional resilience and coping strategies, which are essential tools for their well-being.

In our art project, students used the emotions conveyed in their poem to inspire the creation of a self-portrait. By translating the feelings expressed through words into visual form, they captured their unique emotional experiences, blending creativity and introspection to create deeply personal and meaningful artworks.

Finally, in Forest School, the children enjoyed getting creative with clay, designing their own animals. This activity allowed them to connect with nature while developing fine motor skills and artistic expression. It’s been a week of growth, creativity, and reflection!
