Incredible week in Year 4!
In English, we started drafting our own poems to celebrate the amazing people in our lives. The children created some wonderful pieces of writing, including some great metaphors, similes, alliterations and more! We can’t wait to publish them!
In Maths, we continued exploring place value, getting up to 10,000 and exploring the use of different visual representations, such as dienes, part-whole models and counters. We also started partitioning numbers flexibly, which the children put great effort into.
In STEM, we looked at each part of the digestive system and explored how they work together to support the human body. The children loved our experiment and also showed great knowledge!
In Project, we continued looking at Ancient Greece, exploring a timeline to pinpoint their location in in ancient times. We also looked at the three main eras of Ancient Greece.
General Messages:
- Reminder to pleas bring a PE kit in line with the school’s policy. If children do not have a PE kit, they will not be able to join in with the lesson.
