What a wonderful week! The children have had the most fantastic time on their trips to Wandlebury. They impressed the staff at the venue with the amount of information that they had retained from the Stone Age to Iron Age project. They thoroughly enjoyed the activities during their visit- especially cooking bread over a fire! We would also like to say a massive thank you to all those people who volunteered to join us on the visit- we appreciated all the support we had!

In English we have been learning a new story using a story map and actions. Here is the story: The King of the Fishes Have fun listening to your children retelling the story at home!

During our Maths lessons we have been adding and subtracting fractions where the denominator remains the same. We were very impressed with the way the children remembered the vocabulary linked with fractions and applied it to describe the fractions they were working with.

During our Art lessons, we have been creating self portraits using ink pens and exploring the effect that carefully applied water had on our pictures- the children have created some STUNNING pictures that they are rightfully very proud of

NEXT WEEK

English: We will be innovating ‘The King of the Fishes’ to create our own wishing tales

Maths: Continuing to add and subtract fractions

STEM: We will be learning about electricity this half term.

Project: Our project this half term is a PRE focus. Here is a knowledge map that explains what we will be covering during our lessons: Y3 Sum2 Knowledge Map

Have a wonderful weekend,

Warmest wishes,
