In Maths, we have started using our knowledge of multiplication to solve problems in different contexts.
Maths: Multiplication and perimeter of shapes L3 problem solving L2 missing numbers L1 word problems
We have all practised various gymnastic skills in the last few weeks and have started performing our group sequences.
It has been fun to observe the range of creative sequences that our groups have worked on.
In science we have started investigating sounds.

We have started French again and this week we revised known vocabulary and started thinking about what we want to write to our Penpals in Paris.

Next week:
- Please remind the children to give in their reading records on Monday so that we can change their books.
- Could we ask all children to have their own water bottle in school please.
- PE is a compulsory subject so all children should have a full PE kit in order to participate in our learning.
- Next week (9-13 March) will be the school’s first STEM Week through which we are aiming to develop the children’s appreciation and understanding of the school beyond the classroom. All the children will have outdoor learning sessions in the grounds each day which will include learning opportunities such as invertebrate hunting and identification, orientation (compass directions) and orienteering, art based on the natural world, mapping, gardening, measurements, weather studies, and creative writing using our wonderful surroundings as a stimulus. We are of course hoping for agreeable weather but we will be taking the children out for sessions whatever the climate throws at us so please ensure that your child has suitable clothes in school all week so that they are comfortable outside.
