Well, what an absolute JOY this week has been!
We have absolutely loved having the children back!!! We are so proud of their resilience, adaptability and the way they have settled back so quickly and beautifully. It almost feels like we’ve never been away!
We have had so much fun this week. A huge focus for our week has been on our physical wellbeing and getting our bodies moving again. We have had many times to get moving and enjoy the fresh air…fitness sessions with Premier, PE activities in the hall, team games on the field, the Daily Mile and forest time.
We have also had a huge focus on our emotional wellbeing through PSHE sessions, mindfulness in the forest and Art sessions. We particularly enjoyed exploring the way artists capture emotion through abstract Art. Inspired by some paintings, we created our own abstract Art pieces to reflect our emotions.
We also listened to different pieces of music and created Art in response to different pieces:
In Science, we went searching for the first signs of Spring and captured what we found.
In our Maths this week, we have been recapping our times tables (2,3,4,5, 6, 8 and 9x tables).
In our first English lesson, we wrote a reflective letter to ourselves, reflecting on our experiences over the last few months and looking forward to the term ahead. We then wrote a story about a boy who got sucked into another world by an unseen force! Much excitement…
Year 3, we are so proud of you. Thank you for being amazing. We can’t wait to see you next week!
