This week we began by exploring haikus and spotting the rules for these short and sweet poems. We worked hard to gather our own weather themed vocabulary before composing our own poetry. The children showed such wonderful perseverance as they found just the right word that met the syllable count for each line- very impressive! Maybe your child you tell you what the rules are for haiku poems, they could even try to write their own haikus at home!

In Maths we explored adding 10s and 100s to other numbers. Here are our worksheets: Maths sheets

 

In science we explored the parts of flowering plants and learnt about their functions.
