Well- what a week! Your children have settled amazingly well into their new classrooms and there has been a wonderful buzz of learning all week- well done Year 2! Next week we will be launching into our full timetable and our new project…
Next week:
English- we will be writing labels, lists and captions. The new learning point for Year 2 will be the use of commas in lists
Phonics- we will be looking at the different spellings of /oe/ (toe, boat, cone, shoulder, though, gold)
Maths- we will be exploring the composition of numbers
History- we will be launching our new project (Trailblazers) where we will explore the lives of significant people from history and modern times
Geography- we will be naming and locating the seven continents on world maps
Art- we will be exploring the artwork of Georgia O’Keeffe
RE- we will be exploring the theme of kindness
PSHCE- we will be considering who looks after us when we are in school and how they fulfil this duty
Please remember to send in your family photos for our family boards. If needed, you are welcome to email them to the office and we can print in school.
