Welcome to week 2 of the ‘UCPSpace’ project learning!

We hope you enjoyed the launch of our new learning projects last week. The anticipation is building, we hope you can rescue your new teacher from this far away planet! This week you experience a challenging twist to the project! Be sure to access the YouTube videos sent through for this weeks learning to discover the problems that lay ahead… We really need your help!

 Monday – The Launch of the rescue mission! – Diary writing focus

 Tuesday – Top Tips to stay calm! – PSHCE focus

  • UCPSpace project 2  (email video): Today you crash land on the wrong planet! You and the team are anxious, nervous and a little frightened! Your mission is to create ‘Top tips in how to keep calm during a crisis!’  You can create a video or a poster… How To Keep Calm Poster for blog

Wednesday – Exploring and navigating! – Geography focus

  • UCPSpace project 3 (email video)Children, your fuel tank has leaked, you have no fuel to continue the rescue mission. Your mission today is to investigate the planet for resources, you will need to design a map of your planet. You will need to include the following: basic geographical vocab – include key physical features e.g. forests, hills, mountains, rivers.

 Thursday – Temperatures are falling, we need fuel! – Maths focus

  • UCPSpace project 4 (email video): Today you receive a message from the weather station explaining the planet has a bizarre weather pattern and you children, are in danger! Can you build a shelter to protect yourselves from the freezing temperatures and complete the maths challenge to record the weather temperatures on Planet Pandora!   • Daily diary entry: How does it feel, describe the weather patterns and temperatures. How are the team coping in these conditions, what have you built your shelter from?      Friday – The discovery of fuel! – Creative arts focus

  • UCPSpace project 5 (no video) : Today your mission is to create the magic fuel source you found on planet Pandora, you can create this using any medium of your choice e.g. paint, glitter, pens, food colouring, bubbles, natural materials.
