This week we have been busy writing a fantasy story using all the learning from this year. We were inspired by The Robot and The Bluebird but invented our own characters and described all their adventures.
In phonics we looked at different spellings of d sound: ed, dd, d.
In topic, we looked at a robots across the years and created our own timeline.
In forest school we created songs and practised using different tools.
The week ended with an exciting robot surprise! We met different robots and learned about the use of robot, the different parts of the robot.
In Maths we continued with problem solving: we revised the four operations, measurement, shapes, fractions, time.
In PE, we have been working on our throwing and catching skills and practised group relays. Here are some fun challenges you could practise at home.

Next week, the children will be taking part in SATS. They have all worked hard and we want the children to feel like these are just part of their learning routine and will be a way for them to show all the progress they’ve made this year. Please support us by making sure they are rested and relaxed so they can give their best!
We have noticed many of the children are not bringing their full PE or forest school kit. It is important children bring these on relevant days otherwise they will not be able to take part.
Please could all children bring in a shoe box for our science learning next week by Thursday the latest. If you have any spares please bring them in.
