We are thrilled to be back at school, embracing new challenges and unlocking a year of exciting learning experiences. Our project this term is monarchy (history) and in RE we are learning about Islam.
In English, our writing is being inspired by the book, ‘I want my hat back’. This week we used conjunctions to write ‘lost’ posters to help find the bear’s hat. Next week we will focus on using the first person.
In phonics, we have been reviewing the /n/ and /oe/ sounds and our new learning has been focused on the /er/ sound. Words include: pearl, turn, twirl, worst, term.
In maths, we have been adding and subtracting 10s, please find the worksheets here:100 square Maths Adding and Subtracting 10s
In STEM, our focus is materials and their properties. This week we investigated the absorbency of different materials and waterproof properties.
