Thank you so much for making sure your children brought in water bottles, hats and sunscreen to help combat the heat.
I hope you have all coped well in the heat, it has been incredibly warm.
This week we have finished drafting our memoirs and also started editing our memoirs. It is great to see how much editing has improved over the year. The children have produced some great writing this week.
In STEM Y2 looked at how important the heart is and what its function is. We also welcomed Mrs Ridings to our class rooms and she was happy to answer questions about what it is like being pregnant.
In maths we reviewed division and multiplication in preparation for Y3.
As you can understand there was limited PE this week due to the heat.
Next week
English: we will continue to edit our memoirs.
Maths: we will review addition looking at crossing the tens barrier.
Computing: continue working with DASH looking at algorithms and debugging!
STEM: looking at the importance of a healthy diet and what that consists of.
D&T: we will explore different ways of joining fabrics.
Thank you for a helping support the children in this heat. Have a restful and relaxing weekend and try and find a pool.
Warmest wishes,
The Year Two Team.
