What a fabulous arts week we have had!

This week we learnt the story ‘The Firebird’ by Igor Stravinksy. We acted it out and wrote it ourselves using lots of powerful adjectives! We also listened to Stravinsky’s music and thought about what parts of the story it related to.

Another exciting part of our week was taking part in a dance workshop based on the story of ‘The Firebird’. We worked together to produce dance sequences.

In art, we created Firebird masks ready for the whole school parade on Friday afternoon. We used bright colours and made our own feathers to create our masks.

Next week we will begin our new project ‘Cambridge and London’ and will be looking at the book ‘The Comet’ by Joe Todd-Stanton in English.
