This week, we were really busy exploring our feelings and thinking of ways to express these. We tried to use synonyms for the basic feelings like angry, sad, happy, scared.
In English, we read the Heart and The Bottle. We discussed the meaning of the book and the different emotions the character went through. We then innovated our story and made it personal to us. We are going to write it next week.
In Maths, we learned addition with regrouping. We really focused on understanding what regrouping is and used dienes to help us with this.
In topic we explored how music makes us feel and practised drawing different types of lines in response to this.
In science we explored different properties of materials and practised identifying which materials were elastic and which weren’t.
Phonics: we practised words with the same sound /s/ and different spellings:c, sc, st, ce, s, ss, se . Some of the words we practised are: cell, scissors, chestnut, science, sing, kiss, house.
