After the long break, we’ve taken time to settle back into our school routines, focusing on learning how to learn and reinforcing our school values.
We explored ‘The Colour Monster’ and discussed the various emotions we might experience throughout the day, along with strategies for managing them.
Next week, we’ll begin formal work in our books and we’ve been emphasizing the importance of neat presentation.

Forest school
We are lucky to have forest school this half term in year 2. This will start the week commencing 16th September.

Skylarks – Thursday
Please ensure your child has a forest school kit in on those days that includes: warm clothing, waterproofs and a change of shoes (ideally wellies or sturdy shoes).
Snacks
The school provides all children in KS1 with fruit or vegetables. However, please do send your child in with an extra healthy snack if you wish but this must not contain nuts.
Family photos
We are busy creating our new class family boards for the year and would love a family photo from each family to put on display. Please can you send your child in with a photograph or, alternatively email this to enquires.
