What a busy week we have had in Year 2!
In English, we started our new book and discovered the features on non-fiction text. We wrote different paragraphs all about the Palace of Westminster, which we will use to create a leaflet encouraging people to visit London.
In Maths, we have been adding three 1-digit-numbers and have spent some time creating our own reasoning questions. Please find the worksheets here: Maths Worksheets W5 Next week, we will be learning to add across 10.

In Geography, we have been looking at urbanisation and explored different reasons why people move from the countryside to the city.
In Phonics, we have been continuing to learn the /oe/ sound this week. Next week, we will be learning the /n/ sound. Here are some words we have looked at: goat, show, though

Phonics books were swapped today. Please make sure these are returned on Friday 15th December.
Please make sure you return books on the day. You will incur a £5 fine if this isn’t returned. Your child will be given their new phonics book once the old one is returned.
Please ensure your child has bought in their PE kit for this half term. As the weather is changing, it is important that they have jogging bottoms and or leggings as well as a jumper.
