What a lovely week we have had in Year 2!
In English, we used our book ‘The Comet’ to create contrasting paragraphs about cities and the countryside. We used appropriate adjectives and our senses to add to our descriptions. Next week, we will be starting our new book and looking at non-fiction writing.
In Maths, we learnt to add by making 10. We used ten frames and part-part-whole models to help us:

In Geography, we started using grid references to locate different landmarks in London. We also revisited our continents using the continents song: Seven Continents Geography Song – YouTube

Please return books on Friday 1st December to be swapped.
Please make sure you return books on the day. You will incur a £5 fine if this isn’t returned. Your child will be given their new phonics book once the old one is returned.
Please ensure your child has bought in their PE kit for this half term. As the weather is changing, it is important that they have jogging bottoms and or leggings as well as a jumper.
