What an incredible week it’s been in Year 2 ! We immersed ourselves in the captivating world  of William Shakespeare…

In art, the children made beautiful head pieces inspired by ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and  it was amazing to see how much they enjoyed it all.

In history, the children explored Shakespeare’s world and discovered why he’s so important. We learnt about his life and the time he lived in, which helped us understand more about his plays.

In English, we focused on one of Shakespeare beloved plays: ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream.’ The children explored his writing and even got to step into the shoes of characters like Puck and Titania by writing their own love letters and spells. They also showcased their performing talents bringing the enchanting world of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ to life. Through this, they learned about poetry, rhyming and descriptive language. One highlight was when they shared their spells with the class. It was a fun and creative way to learn!
