Wow! We have had a fantastic first week back in Year One! The children came back to school bursting with enthusiasm and fun. We have been delighted with the way they have approached all of their learning this week- a big well done! It was wonderful to welcome so many of you into our classrooms during the first Family Friday, the children loved sharing their learning with you and there were so many lovely conversations taking place in the classrooms: thank you!
Next week
English: we will be exploring the fantasy story ‘The Robot and the Bluebird’. We will compare fantasy worlds with the real world and write descriptions of Robot Kingdom.
Phonics: we will focus on /ue/ as in due, cute, stew.
Maths: we will be learning to add and subtract using a number line.
Science: we will continue to explore the differences between living and non living things.
