We are all very proud of our Year ones as they continue to challenge themselves in their creative thinking. We have all had an amazing week!

In English this week, the children have been fantastic poets and published their own poems about pets and imaginary creatures!
Maths
In Maths this week, we have been learning about ‘Parts and Wholes’ and writing number sentences.
Next Week
In phonics next week, we will continue to focus on the ‘er’ sound as in ‘kerb’ ‘stir’ worm’ and ‘curl’.
In English next week, we will continue focus on poetry. Our key text will be ‘Thinker My Puppy Poet and Me’ and other poets. The children will experience different types of poems and publish their poems.
In Maths next week, we will learn how to complete a part whole model. Children will continue with the challenge of writing the number sentences and create their own model.
Please make sure your child has a winter PE kit with appropriate clothing for both indoor and outdoor activities. Thank you to those who have already done this.
The weather continues to get colder so please ensure your child brings a coat to school every.
