English
In English this week, the children listened to a story called ‘Martha maps it out’. We spoke about all the planets in the solar system and wrote sentences from the perspective of a friendly alien. We focused on using capital letters, full stops, finger spaces and the conjunction ‘and’ to make our sentences amazing! English 17.3.23
Maths
In Maths this week, we continued to focus on numbers to 50. We looked at number lines to 50 and estimated missing numbers. If you would like to have a go at home here is some home learning Maths 17.3.23
Next week
In phonics next week, the children will be revisiting the /ee/ sound spelt /ee/ /e/ /ey/ /y/.
In English next week, we will be focusing on the suffix s and es for plurals. Our focus book will be The very hungry caterpillar.
