In English this week, we continued to explore poetry! We read the poem, ‘Woolly Saucepan’ by M Rosen and learnt about verses. We revisited story maps and created our own version of the poem to recite to the whole class using a clear and confident voice! We also wrote lists of materials and objects. Maths
In Maths this week, the children have been learning to count in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s. They have been using a 100 frame to fill in the gaps and identify patterns. We encourage your child to play on Numbots. Here are some activities for home too Counting in 2,5,10
Phonics
In Phonics this week, the children have been learning One spelling different sounds <ea>

Next week
In English next week, we will be writing sentences using expanded noun phrases and sentences using ‘and’.
In Maths next week, we will continue to build on this week’s learning of counting in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s.
In Phonics next week, we are learning the /ow/ sound as ‘ow’ or ‘oe’

Please send in an old T-Shirt with your child’s name on the label, we will use these in DT to design, cut up and sew into a bag.
