This week we’ve delved even deeper into castles and non-fiction, working to create our own booklets with facts about a newly discovered castle, we’ve been practicising our special castle vocabulary and have begun to learn a little bit about the monarchy and enjoyed listening to this very jolly song about previous monarchs. In mathematics we explored missing number equations, you can find the sheet here if you’d like to explore this a little more at home with your child as many did find it quite challenging to articulate strategies to solve these problems and ensure that they checked their answers after to confirm that the equations made sense.

Next week is Arts Week

We are so excited for this! Please do play the wonderful song that our week is themed around with your children and listen carefully to the words, tune, beat and instruments used.

We will have a range of workshops that will cover many different art forms, from bird-themed art with Mrs Smith and Ms Khan (in the Forest) to drumming workshops and singing with Jane Wheeler from Living song.

We will also be focusing in class on the theme of the ocean and the sky exploring poetry, movement and art relating to these.

We are really looking forward to sharing our learning with you!
