We have had a lovely and busy week in Reception. We have continued our learning about different celebrations, this week we focused on Weddings. The children have been very busy writing their own wedding cake recipes and making tiered cakes using play dough. They have impressed us with the way they ordered numbered presents to make their own number lines. We have also seen some wonderful wedding venue building both on a small and a large scale… a super week for the Acorns, Pumpkins and Sunflowers.
Next Week: we will continue our Festivals theme by thinking about the Nativity story, this will really help us to get ready for our upcoming shows!

Blue Challenge – To order Christmas puddings or stockings by size (smallest to biggest).
Yellow Challenge – To write the names of different Nativity characters/props for our box office role play areas.
Green Challenge – To try our best in our Nativity rehearsals.

WINTERFEST VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Please join us for our annual Winterfest on Friday, 7th of December from 3:30-6:00 pm. View what we have planned at Programme. Please see your class reps or contact focusucps@gmail.com to volunteer for a 30-45 minute slot. Pumpkins parent can sign up HERE (see Reception tab at bottom left corner).

HOLIDAY TREES ON SALE: The deadline for orders is Saturday, 1st of December at bit.ly/focustrees. Click on DETAILS on the top left for tree types, prices and payment options etc. Click on TICKETS to order. Please pick up your tree on Saturday, 8th of December at the school car park.
