We have had a wonderful week in Reception thinking about the animals that live under the sea. Our group learning focused on the book ‘Shark in the Dark’, we were shocked by the behaviour of the greedy, beady eyed shark and love
d the twist at the end. The beautiful coral reef scenery inspired us to create stunning wax resist fish for our class aquariums. As usual we have challenged ourselves through the Rainbow Challenges and have wowed our teachers with our learning this week!
We have focused on the digraphs ‘or’ and ‘ur’ in phonics, we have enjoyed impressing our teachers with our super blending and segmenting! In our Maths we have been finding one more and one less using number tracks. Fantastic learning Reception!!!
Next week we will be following children’s interests and consolidatin
g our learning. Rainbow challenges will be specific to each class.
