It has been absolutely fabulous to be back together in harmony once again and there has been a glorious buzz in Reception once more!
We are so proud of our Reception children and how they have settled back so quickly and beautifully. It almost feels like we’ve never been away!
We have had a fun filled week. We have continued with our main focus being on our physical wellbeing and exercising our bodies. We have been outside and as much as possible and enjoyed the fresh air! We have thoroughly enjoyed PE in the hall and joining in with physical challenges in our garden.
We have also continued with a huge focus on our emotional wellbeing through mindfulness and P4C sessions, We really enjoyed revisiting the emotions in the ‘Colour Monster’ story and are using our ‘Worry Boxes’.
In our Maths this week, we have been recapping on all the areas covered so far.ell what can we say
In English we have been demonstrating our amazing writing skills and trying our best to apply all the sounds we have been learning so far too independently.

Phonics: oo ( spoon) and oo (as in book)
English: Writing a special letter of thanks.

Help Please: It is great to see our Reception children getting back into the lunch time routines. Please continue to encourage them to scrape their plates clear after they finish eating at home and to continue to support with using their knife and fork to cut up their food independently.
