Welcome back Sunflowers, Acorns and Pumpkins and your lovely families.
We have had a wonderful start to the new term with children settling straight back into the routines of school. They have impressed us with the way they have worked together (and independently) throughout the week. We have been exploring and creating different shades of blue using a variety of media. We used poster paint to mix different shades of blue, we noticed that when white paint is added it create a lighter shade of white. The children have been enjoying our new role play areas imagining they are polar explorers or working in an ice cream parlour. They have also been busy looking at the different animals in our small world areas.
Next Week: we will begin our topic about Polar Explorers. We will begin by focusing on Antarctic exploration, thinking about different species of penguins.
