We have had a very exciting week in Reception thinking about the colours and sounds that fireworks make. We were impressed with the way the children used their phonic knowledge to help them write firework themed words. We would like to say a big thank you for sending your children to school in suitable painting clothes on Wednesday- all three classes had a wonderful time creating a Firework inspired splash painting to Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. We have also been thinking about shapes this week and we used these to create shape rockets, we tried to name and describe the shapes.
Next Week: we will continue our Festivals theme by thinking about how different people celebrate their birthdays.
