The children have had a fantastic start to the second half of this summer term. We have been enjoying the sunshine (and shade) especially in our new construction area where children have has the opportunity to build their own structures using realistic building materials.
In Phonics we have been reviewing many of our high frequency words (including: there, their, these, what, where and who) and recapping our unit 11 sounds. Can you have a go at building and reading some of the following words: shed, brush, chin, match, thump, snack, whisk, and quick.
In Maths we have been using Rekenreks to show our subitising skills.
In PE we have continued our Dance unit, creating a dance sequence and trying to make our movements smooth.
- Reading books need to be returned to school on Monday to be changed
- We have some exciting PE events happening next week. Please ensure your child’s PE kit (Black or Navy shorts and white top, with trainers or plimsolls) is in school.
- Please ensure that your child comes to school with suncream already applied. Please also pack a sun hat and leave a bottle of suncream (named) in their classroom, without this they may not be able to go outside if the weather is too hot.
Have a wonderful weekend,
