Our teachers say: We have had a very busy week thinking about the book- ‘Have you filled a bucket today?’ The children have made us very proud this week- they have filled so many buckets with their kind thoughts, words and actions. They thought very carefully about the ways that they could be bucket fillers and showed lots of empathy for other peoples feelings.

The children say: We have had a wonderful week in Pumpkins, Acorns and Sunflowers, we enjoyed being real life bucket fillers and thought very carefully about the ways that we can fill the buckets of all our friends and families. We have been looking at ‘s’ and ‘a’ in our Phonics lessons- we are trying hard to remember the formation rhymes… Remember- slither down the snake to make a s, go round the apple and down the leaf to make an a. We are excited to learn two new sounds next week!

Next week: Our book focus will be ‘Handa’s Surprise’. We are going to look closely at different tropical fruits and draw them using different media. We will be writing lists of our favourite fruits and then make a yummy fruit salad to finish the week! In Phonics our sounds will be ‘t’ and ‘p’. In Maths we will match numbers and quantities accurately.

Gentle reminder: Monday is an Oliver Twist/Victorian themed dress up day to link with the rest of school- please see ‘Wisepay’ letter for more information. Please be mindful of the changing weather and send your child into school with a coat.
