What a lovely final week of this half term it has been, filled with lots of learning and fun!

Phonics – Our phonics this week we looked at Unit 11, focusing on sounds such as /sh/, /ch/ and /tch/.

To continue this learning at home, you could support your child to read and write the words: ‘flinch’, ‘mulch’ and ‘chin’.

Maths – In Maths, we focused on subitising numbers to 5.

Project – We concluded our project, ‘Building the World’ and the children worked in groups to create giraffes to be features around Botley City, in a similar fashion to the giraffes currently around Cambridge.

Art Skill of the Week – In groups, children have continued to take their designs to the Art Room and work with Mrs Smith to make their buildings and giraffes using junk modelling.

It was lovely to welcome parents and families in to school to showcase our creations for Botley City – the children had so much fun creating their buildings with Mrs Smith and learning all about coding and algorithms with Botley. We hope you enjoyed experiencing Botley City!

Well done to all the children for a fantastic half-term of learning. Wishing you all a restful and relaxing half-term break!
