We have all experienced a fun-filled week in Reception and have shown our teachers ‘our brilliance!’ Congratulations to Pumpkins, Sunflowers, and Acorns!

Everyday we have learnt more new facts about Polar animals and used this to create our very own ‘information books’. One child was very excited to share that, “Did you know that Polar Bears have black skin under their fur to help soak up the sun to keep them warm!?” Wow! Fascinating!

Other children have been continuing their thirst for knowledge about Polar Regions at home and bringing in their information in the form of pictures, maps and facts! As always in Reception, there has been a hive of activity and a real sense of having a ‘love for learning and sharing’ in the air. Thank you to all the families who have spent time to help their child ‘research their thirst for learning’. Children are super excited to share their information books and much more at the next ‘Family Friday’ on 8th February next week.

In addition to information books, children have been busy weaving a blanket for the cold Polar animals using strips of paper, creating a cuisenair and numicom numberline, demonstrating high expectations when tidying up and writing sentences using Tricky Troll words and finger spaces. Outdoors, children had a fabulous time with Miss Smith creating a track using the large blocks for riding scooters through.
