We have had a very exciting and busy week in Reception thinking about all the sights and sounds at Carnivals. We were impressed with the wonderful hat designs and musical instruments that the children created- they are applying their skills with lots of imagination! We have also been dancing to Carnival inspired music and creating our own parades. We were pleased to see the way that the children are applying their phonic knowledge to writing CVC words. In Maths we have been ordering numbers from smallest to largest and finding out what our friends favourite instrument is using a tally. What a busy week!

Next Week: we will continue our Festivals theme by thinking about Weddings.

Key Things to know…

Book Focus: When Willy went to the Wedding

Group Time Focus: this week we will be applying our phonic knowledge in hearing initial sounds, making CVC words and captions.
