Although this week has been, short it has been packed full of fun. We started on our space theme and we have all been creating things for the classroom. Thank you to all that made a rocket at home, they look fantastic hanging up around the classrooms.

Our book for this week and next week is ‘Aliens love underpants.’ This week some of the children have been naming their own alien and writing about where they live and what they like.

During maths this week we have been looking at money and values, thinking about which coins we might use to pay for items of varying amounts.

Next week we will be carrying on the space theme, designing our own pairs of alien pants and writing about them as well as making planets and building space ships. Phonics next week will have a focus on words using vowel digraphs such as ‘oa,’ ‘ai’ and ‘oo’.

The following NSPCC #NetAware link allows parents to understand the risks and minimum ages for using different social media platforms. At the bottom of this page, there is also a form for parents to sign up to receive a regular newsletter with e-safety updates relevant to the age of your child. We would strongly recommend all parents to explore this useful resource and subscribe.
